Oops, this is a little late. Microsoft put to use the silence before the great iPhone/WWDC storm. Microsoft has announced Windows 7 (yet to be named I guess). Joe Wilcox covers what is what and why this is probably being released so soon after Vista. Windows 7 will ship in 2009 in time for holiday PCs. So far there are no major architectural changes which would greatly reduce development complications.

Microsoft is still playing their games by no surprise ;-). Multi-touch? C'mon! Where did that come from... ahem ahem!
