Yeah, OK, fine. I see your frustration. But guess what? What else do you use everyday that uses some kind of computing need? Your car, your new HD TV, your cell phone? HELLO? People Scared of the Digital AgePosted: 2007-09-26 19:51:23 You know what really stirs me up? It's these people that are scared of the digital age and think that the world should just go back to the old "pencil-and-paper" ways of doing things.
I was with one of my clients in Tustin a while ago and some guy stopped in the store while I was fixing the point-of-sale computer at the front desk. This guy was one of your typical "I-like-to-babble" customers and he saw me doing my job. He commented, "You know, people really should go back to using pencils and paper because computers break down all the time and I hate it. Why should I spend money on all this stuff (well, you're not and who asked you?). You should go find another job and be productive." I was about to say a really shrewed comment but I just ignored him. The owners of the store wanted to kick him out. |
